Protests erupted in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district against the civilian killings on Saturday.

Reports reaching here said that youth raised pro-freedom slogans in Barsoo, Kurhama areas in Ganderbal.

Clashes erupted when youth resorted to stone pelting and forces fired tear gas shells.

Reports reaching here from North Kashmir’s Trehgam said that several people were injured in clashes between forces and youth.

Heavy anti-India and pro-freedom slogans were raised in the area.

“Four youth were shifted to a hospital,” a local witness said identifying the injured as Sajad Ahmad, Talib Gaffar, Javed and Jaffar.

“Forces fired tear gas shells which landed inside the courtyard of our neighbour,” the local said.
