SRINAGAR: A 45-year-old man from Kupwara, who had been injured in a road accident earlier, succumbed to his injuries at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital Srinagar.
Officials said the accident took place at Hatmollah Kupwara on June 20 when the victim, identified as Tanveer Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Ahad Mir, a resident of Hatmollah Kupwara, fell from a moving vehicle. He was initially taken to District Hospital Kupwara and later referred to SMHS Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Despite prolonged medical care, Tanveer Ahmad Mir passed away on Wednesday.
Police said that following medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to his legal heirs on the directions of DO Police Post Hatmollah, SI Zakir Hussain. [KNT]
