As per a police spokesperson a 40 year old lady died of her injuries in SKIMS. The relatives of the deceased have alleged that she was beaten by some persons in Rayal Baderkote, Kupwara.
One Mohammad Ashraf Din son of Sadder Din resident of Rayal Baderkote lodged a report in Police Station Karnah that his mother Jameela Begum, age 40 years, was attacked by Saif-ud-Din Dobi, Maqbool Dobi, Ghulam Sarwar and Roshni Jan. He alleged that her mother was on her way to farm fields when she was attacked. She recived injuries in the attack and was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries on April 22, 2013.
Police has taken the cognizance of the complaint and a case has been registered in this regard. The body was handed over her relatives for last rites.
