For the last 15 days, Herri village in Kupwara district is reeling under darkness.
Local residents in Malik Mohalla Herri said that the PDD authorities are not paying any attention to redress their grievance.
“We are facing immense hardships in absence of electricity. We are unable to charge our mobile phones while other electric appliances are lying useless,” Bashir Ahmad, a local resident said.
He said the villagers even brought the matter to the notice of the PDD staff of Herri Power Receiving station, but in vain.
The residents have warned of protests if their grievance is not addressed. (KNS)
