Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has strongly criticised the “aggression” of government forces against the common people of Kashmir and condemned the use of indiscriminate force on people in nook and corner of the disputed region.
Secretary-General of Freedom Party Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said in a statement that it is because of the unbridled powers given to the government forces and the lack of accountability that every day innocent civilians are killed and wounded besides properties are vandalized and people especially youth are arrested every now and then.
Moulana Tari said that use of force and unleashing the reign of “terror” by killing innocents, blinding and maiming youth, vandalizing properties of people, torching orchards, harassing the elderly lot and arresting people in nocturnal raids has become a routine affair in Kashmir and the government forces continue to harass People at their will and wish.
Moulana Tari expressed sympathies with the victim families especially the parents of Faizan Ahmad of Ladhoo, Khrew who was killed in “indiscriminate firing” by forces in Pulwama last week. Moulana Tari termed the demand for returning of mortal remains of slain Mudasir Ahmed Bhat of old Barzulla who was killed in an encounter with the army on June 29 at Kupwara as genuine and based on logic and stating that the delay in returning the mortal remains of a Bhat to his family is condemnable and inhuman.
