SRINAGAR: The Ladakh Administration has ordered changes in the allocation of departments and assigned additional responsibilities to three IAS officers with immediate effect, according to a government order issued on October 31.
Under Order No. 527-LA(GAD) of 2026, Shurbir Singh, IAS (2004), has been assigned the charge of Commissioner, Goods and Services Tax (GST), relieving Tsewang Tharchin, IA&AS, of the responsibility.
In another change, Arava Gopi Krishna, IAS (2012), has been given charge of the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department, relieving Shurbir Singh of the assignment.
The administration has also assigned Sanjit Rodrigues, IAS (2013), additional charge of the General Administration Department (GAD), Labour and Employment Department, and Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department.
Rodrigues will hold these responsibilities from October 31 to November 22, 2026, during the leave period of P T Rudra Goud, IAS (2017).
The order, issued by the General Administration Department from the UT Secretariat in Leh, states that the arrangements have been made in the interest of administration.
