SRINAGAR: Tourist arrivals in Ladakh reached 3,30,332 between January and July this year, nearly matching the total footfall recorded by the Union Territory during the whole of 2025, officials said on Saturday.
According to a Lok Bhavan spokesperson, the figure for the first seven months of 2026 is 98.35 per cent of the 3,35,872 tourists who visited Ladakh during the entire 2025 calendar year.
Tourist activity recorded a particularly sharp increase in June and July, with more than 2.12 lakh visitors arriving in the Union Territory during the two months. The figure represents nearly 65 per cent of the total tourist arrivals recorded in Ladakh so far this year.
The official said tourist arrivals had crossed the one-lakh mark in each of June and July, reflecting continued growth in the region’s tourism sector.
