SRINAGAR: The Union Territory of Ladakh’s Government has declared a 4 percent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners.
As per the Finance Department’s directive issued on Tuesday, in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s Department of Expenditure, Government of India, OM No.1/4/2023-E-II(B) dated October 20, 2023, the Dearness Allowance for employees in Ladakh UT will be raised from the existing rate of 42 percent to 46 percent of the basic pay, effective from July 1st, 2023.
The term ‘basic pay’ will be determined as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations and will not include any additional ‘special pay’ drawn by the employee.
