SRINAGAR: The Ladakh Administration has modified the posting order of a Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service(JKAS) officer, changing the headquarters of Director, Social and Tribal Welfare, Dr Zahida Bano, from Leh to Kargil.
According to Government Order No. 540-LA(GAD) of 2026, dated November 5, 2026, issued by the GeneralAdministration Department (GAD), Dr Zahida Bano, JKAS, shall continue to discharge her duties as Director, Social andTribal Welfare, Union Territory of Ladakh, with headquarters at Kargil.
The amendment has been made in partial modification of the corrigendum to Government Order No. 510-LA(GAD) of2026, dated October 20, 2026, concerning transfers, postings and the assignment of additional charges to JKAS officers.
The revised order specifically replaces the earlier entry, which stated that Dr Zahida Bano would continue at her presentplace of posting as Director, Social and Tribal Welfare, with headquarters at Leh. The amended provision now specifiesKargil as her headquarters.
The order was issued by the General Administration Department on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor (Administrator) ofLadakh and bears the signature of Sanjit Rodrigues, IAS, Administrative Secretary, GAD.
