SRINAGAR: The Union Territory administration of Ladakh has issued orders assigning key departmental responsibilities to two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect.
According to official orders, Shurbir Singh, a 2004 batch AGMUT Cadre IAS officer, has been entrusted with the Revenue Department, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control, and Housing and Urban Development Department. In addition, he has been given the additional charge of Divisional Commissioner.
Another order announced that Nitish Rajora, a 2021 batch AGMUT Cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise. He will also hold the additional responsibilities of Director, Accounts and Treasuries, and Director, Housing and Urban Local Bodies.
These postings aim to strengthen administrative efficiency and ensure smooth governance across key sectors in the Union Territory.
