Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a lady with fake currency in Kralpora area of Trehgam in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A Police official told a local news agency, GNS that acting on specific information, sleuths of Kralpora Police Station during a raid detained a lady identified as Rifat Jan, daughter of Mohammad Altaf Khan, resident of Tarakpora, Vilgam of Kupwara district.

“Fake currencies worth eight thousand rupees have been recovered from her possession,” official said, adding that lady has been arrested and lodged in Police Station Kralpora.

Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been taken up.
