Lady dies in Kokernag, another immolate self in Bandipora

A lady slipped to death while grazing her cattle in Kokernag forests, police said on Sunday.

A 55 years old lady Zaitoon wife of Abdul Rashid Dar resident of Chree Panjagam slipped to death while grazing her cattle folk in forests, in Kokernag.

The body of deceased lady was retrieved from the forest and handed over to her relatives for last rites.

Meanwhile, a 23 lady (name with held) resident of Pazalpora sprinkled kerosene oil on her body and set herself ablaze at her home in Pathkote, Bandipora. She has been shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Pulwama police recovered an unidentified male dead body of age around 50 to 55 yrs near Hassanwani village, Pulwama.

Pulwama police was informed by some locals that a body is lying near Hassanwani village, Pulwama. A Police party rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The investigations under section 174 CrPC was started to ascertain the cause of the death. Efforts are on to establish the identity of the deceased.

The body has been kept at PHC Pantha Chowk for identification.
