A lady has been murdered in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday.
SP Ganderbal, Imtiyaz Ismail Parray, told Kashmir Life that a lady has been killed in Kangan area of Ganderbal.
“The deceased lady has been hit by a bullet and post-mortem has been done,” he said, “the father of the deceased lady has alleged that her husband has murdered the lady.”
Identified as Ghulam Hassan Chowhan (40), a constable in 193 BN BSF, resident of Satrina village Kangan, he is posted in Rajasthan.
“Chowhan has been detained in Police Station Kangan and investigations have started,” Parray said, “we have recovered 12 bore licensed gun from him.”
Father of the deceased lady has alleged that there was some issue between the husband and wife which might have turned ugly early his morning.
Chowhan had recently returned home for holidays.
