SRINAGAR: A family from Habak area of Hazratbal here has alleged medical negligence by the doctors at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) while authorities refute the family claims, terming it as baseless.

Family members told that their beloved, who was Hepatitis patient, was admitted in the hospital today.

They said that soon after she was admitted, she died due to medical negligence as she was administered injection, which caused and eventually she died.

The family later entered into a verbal brawl with the doctors to protest the alleged medical negligence.

However, PRO SKIMS, Kulsooma termed the allegations as baseless, saying that the doctors have treated the patient as per the protocol.

“There was no negligence at all. The doctors have tried their best to save the patient and treat her as per the protocol,” she said. (KNO)
