A housewife in south Kashmir Islamabad area has attempted suicide but has survived, police said.
The unidentified women is a resident of Verinag. Police said she consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was immediately shifted to District Hospital for treatment. Police was informed and they have registered a case.
Police did not offer any details about the compulsions or the situation that led her to take the extreme step.
