SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a lambardar in Kreeri, located in the northern reaches of Baramulla district, for receiving an illicit sum of Rs 8,000.

An official said that the ACB took into custody the lambardar, identified as Nisar Ahmad Pandith, son of Ghulam Hyder Pandit from Authoora Bala, while he was in the act of accepting the bribe.

The official stated that the accused had been operating as a commission agent for Patwari Halqa Reshipora, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar.

Furthermore, it was disclosed that subsequently, the Patwari was also apprehended, and certain pertinent revenue documents were discovered in their possession. (KNO)
