Jammu and Kashmir police launched a rescue operation in village Panjtara following landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.
“Due to landslides caused by heavy rainfall at village Panjtara, Kupwara, 60 residential houses were found in danger,” an official was quoted as having said.
Police have shifted 30 families to safer places, he said, adding that the situation was continuously being monitored.
