Nearly after seventeen days the body of slain militant, Muzaffar Ahmad Mir, was exhumed and then buried at his ancestral graveyard in Langate on Saturday.
An eyewitness informed Kashmir Life over phone, “Muzaffar’s funeral prayers was led by his father, Bashir Ahmad Mir. The funeral was attended by hundreds of people from adjoining areas.”
Pertinently the authorities exhumed and handed over the body of a militant Muzaffar to his family today. He was killed in a gunfight along with his four associates in Dooniwari forests, in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district on August 08. He was buried in Hamam area a day later.
The permission for exhumation of the body was granted today after DNA sample of the slain militant matched with his family.
Reportedly the locals had resorted to stone pelting on government forces deployed in main chowk Langate as the last report came in.
