SRINAGAR: The Industrial Association Lassipora has urged the government to address a series of pressing issues affecting the Lassipora Industrial Estate in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
Mukhtar Ahmad, President of the Association, highlighted problems including broken internal roads, a congested Sangam–Lassipora approach road, absence of proper drainage and waste management, and lack of health and banking facilities.
He also called for reliable power supply through a dedicated grid station, release of pending subsidies, and relief on arrears accumulated during Covid.
The Association has demanded installation of CCTV cameras, construction of boundary walls and gates, establishment of a transport yard, and preparation of a comprehensive master plan to match modern industrial parks. Ahmad warned that continued neglect could discourage investment in one of Kashmir’s key industrial hubs. [KNT]
