SRINAGAR: The Infosys Foundation Scholarship for 2023 is specifically designed to assist young women embarking on their first year of undergraduate studies in India. The application process is completely online and the deadline to apply is December 31, 2023.
The Infosys Foundation Scholarship has introduced a distinctive initiative named STEM Stars, designed to provide support and motivation to female students. This pioneering programme aims to encourage and provide financial aid to young women, empowering them to pursue their undergraduate studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
It seeks to tackle a pressing matter: an estimated 1.6 million girls in India face barriers to accessing education, resulting in a noteworthy dropout rate of approximately 25 per cent during the 10th to 12th grades.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, and study materials, with an annual cap of INR 1 Lakh for the actual costs throughout the duration of the course.
Applicants should be enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies at distinguished institutions accredited by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Eligible fields of study encompass Engineering, Medical (MBBS), and other disciplines related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed INR 8, 00,000. Candidates pursuing Engineering and related courses must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7. MBBS students must successfully pass all subjects each year to retain their eligibility for the scholarship until the completion of their course.
The documents required for Infosys Foundation Scholarship 2023 include Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificates, along with JEE/CET/NEET scorecard, A government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar card, voter ID card, driving license, and PAN card), Evidence of current-year admission (fee receipt, admission letter, institution identity card, bonafide certificate), Family income proof certificate issued by relevant government offices, BPL card, or Ayushman Bharat card, Submission of electricity bills for the past 6 months as an additional supporting document, Bank account details of the applicant (bank passbook or cancelled cheque) and a recent passport-size photograph.
