A condolence meeting was held on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali to pay tributes to late Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, Jehangir Hussain Mir, Secretary Council Abdul Majid Bhat, Additional Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and other officers and officials of the Council Secretariat also participated, an official spokesperson said this evening.

Paying rich tribute to late Chief Minister, Haji Anayat Ali said that Mufti Sayeed worked tirelessly for development of Jammu and Kashmir State. He said the vision and mission of Mufti Sayeed was all inclusive and he always advocated peace and harmony among the diverse cultures and regions in the state.

Legislative Council

Hajji Anayat said the Mufti Sayeed’s demise has created a political vacuum that is impossible to fill as he was one of the tallest leaders of the country, who had deep love for the nation and who wanted to see people of Jammu and Kashmir to live with dignity.

Deputy Chairman, Jehangir while paying tributes to Mufti Sayeed said that India has lost a great leader who worked for the betterment of the down trodden sections of the society. He said that contribution of Mufti Sayeed in opening the Mughal road can never be forgotten.

Special prayers were made besides two minute silence was also observed to pay homage to the departed the leader.
