SRINAGAR: A late-night fire gutted five single-story residential sheds in the Maloora Shalteng area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday.
Officials said that the fire broke out at around 10:01 PM, quickly spreading to five residential sheds.
Upon receiving information, fire and emergency services rushed to the scene and worked to control the blaze. The fire caused significant damage to roofing, furnishings, bedding, and various household goods, with some belongings completely destroyed.
Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control, preventing further damage to neighboring properties. However, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No casualties were reported in the incident. Authorities have assured residents that a detailed inquiry will be conducted to determine the cause. (JKNS)
