SRINAGAR: Four individuals, including a minor, sustained injuries when a leopard attacked in different locations within South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday evening, officials said.
An official said that four individuals were attacked by a leopard in Daramdora Keegam and Mazhama areas of Shopian district on Friday evening.
The injured have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Ahsan Lone; Saadat Nazir (14), son of Nazir Ahmad Wani, and Nazir Ahmad Wani, residents of Daramdora Keegam, and Sahil Hassan Rather, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, a resident of Mazhama.
“The injured persons were evacuated to DH Pulwama, from where all of them were referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment,” the official said.
Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KS)
