SRINAGAR: A minor girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Dragad village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
Officials said the girl, identified as Zanab, daughter of Aafiq Ahmad Thoker, a resident of Dragad, was attacked by the leopard while she was in the village.
She sustained injuries in the attack and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition is stated to be stable, the officials said.
Following the incident, residents urged the Wildlife Department to take immediate measures to prevent such attacks and ensure the safety of people in the area.
