A 10 year old boy, identified as Toheed Ahmed son of Bashir Malik resident of Nalwa Doda, was injured when he was attacked by a Leopard outside his residence on Sunday evening.
As per the family of the injured, Toheed received serious injuries on his face, legs and arms.
According to eyewitness, after listening hue and cry family members of the victims came out of the house and saw the boy was lying in pool of blood. The family raised alarm as a result of which large number of people rush to the spot and chased the leopard who escaped in nearby forest.
People immediately rushed the injured to District Hospital Doda. The locals allege that despite repeated request to the administration, no measures were taken by the concerned administration or by the wildlife department to prevent the man-animal conflict in the area. No financial assistant was so far provided to the injured boy by the wild life department.
