Four hundred fifty chickens were killed on Thursday after a leopard entered into a poultry farm in Gatha area of Bhadarwah town of district Doda.

Reports said that villagers raised an alarm after hearing an unusually loud noise of chickens from the poultry farm.

Reports also said that after noticing a leopard moving near the poultry farm residents alerted other villagers as well.

Media outlets have quoted the poultry farm owner Mohsin Khan, a resident of Gatha, Bhadarwah saying “a leopard entered the poultry farm and after killing around 450 chickens escaped from the spot.”
