SRINAGAR: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested an active LeT militant in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
In a statement, Police said that on reliable information about the plans of attack by militants and through ground investigation, a joint team of SOG Handwara, SOG Bandipora and 13 RR, 32 RR, 92 CRPF arrested one active militant of LeT outfit at Hajin, Bandipora District.
The official identified the arrested militant as Aquib Ahmad Rather @Jana S/ o Gh Mohd Rather R/o Sahipora, Handwara
Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
Regarding the incident Case FIR No. 77/2020 U/S 7/25 I. A. Act, 13 18, 20 ULA(P) Act registered in Police Station Kralgund and investigation taken up, the statement said.
