LeT Militant Killed In Baramulla Encounter, Says Police

SRINAGAR: A militant affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed in an operation at Binner area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, an official said.

An official said that one militant has been killed in the encounter at Binner area.

He identified the slain as Irshad Ahmad Bhat active since May 2022 affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit.

 

He said one AK rifle, two magazines and 30 rounds were recovered from his possession.

He added that the gunfight broke out at Binner Baramulla following a search operation.

Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Binner area of Baramulla on Saturday late night.
