SRINAGAR: A militant affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed during an ongoing anti-militancy operation in the Shopian area of south Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.

In a post on X, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said, “One Lashkar terrorist neutralised by SOG Shopian in a joint operation with the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF.
The operation was launched four days ago following specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of militants in the area.
Officials said the operation was continuing when the report was filed. The identity of the slain militant and further operational details were yet to be ascertained.
