President Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) and MLA Langate Er Rashid Monday reiterated its appeal to National Conference and PDP to come out of their “narrow-mindedness” and form some common ground to address political aspirations of Kashmiri people.
Referring to the latest statement of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s statement in which he has said that “PDP’s or NC’s support and desire does not make any difference who will form the next government” should be an eye opener for Kashmiris in general and NC and PDP in particular.
“There can be nothing more humiliating than the fact that Congress is giving such a treatment to NC and PDP as if they are Congress’s mistresses,” Er Rasheed said while addressing party workers in Sopore today. “Congress is making them [NC and PDP] to disgrace and humiliate each other just to ensure that both these parties lose what so ever stamina and morality (if they have any at all) just to stop these two regional parties from taking a pro Kashmiri stand and forcing center in moving ahead over resolution of Kashmir issue.”
Rasheed said like BJP leaders, the congress leaders who spoke at Congress’s convention at SKICC Sunday have once again tried to dash the sentiments and aspirations of Kashmiri people to earth and are trying to propagate their larger agenda by making J&K a base camp.
“None of the Congress leaders spoke about the promises made by Congress Leaders from Nehru to Rajiv Gandhi with the Kashmiri people for their commitment to resolve JK dispute,” Rasheed said. “Though talking about development and day to day problems of people cannot be kept hostage till the resolution of political dispute but Congress leaders are trying to dilute the basic issue by talking about developmental issues in such a way as if Congress government is doing something unique and beyond scope for Kashmiris.”
Rasheed said: “They are not saying even a single word over V K Singh and his gangsters agenda as a part of which they had allegedly given money to create disturbances in 2010 as they knew that this was being done to ensure that AFSPA continues to be in position.”
MLA Langate said that both PDP and NC should ask their conscience how can congress give them autonomy or self rule because it is totally against their national agenda.
“Unless either of these two parties does not get an absolute majority they can achieve nothing except befooling Kashmiris and lying to them,” he said. “Unfortunately Mufti and Sheikh Dynasties are running their parties like personal enterprises and have ego clashes for which Kashmiris have to pay a very heavy price.”
Rasheed said both the parties should shun their vested differences and give disappointed sufferers of Kashmir some hope to reach the goal.
“This can be only done and achieved if these two parties join hands together and show Babus of New Delhi their right place,” he said.
