In Prem Nagar area of Dehradun, the students of Kashmir have been allegedly forced to vacate from their rented accommodation by the house owners using Lethapora attack in Pulwama as an excuse.

At the moment of filing this report, some students said that their colleagues were on roads without any place to stay at.

“We are in contact through a WhatsApp group, and we have accommodated about ten of our colleagues,” said a student over the phone from Dehradun.

He added, until tomorrow, they, however, aren’t sure whether or not they would be allowed in their own rented accommodations.

Reportedly, earlier Kashmiri students had alleged that Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Parishad (VHP) members had beaten up 12 students from the valley studying in different colleges of the city.

They had added the activists also threatened several institutions to send all Kashmiri students enrolled with them, back home.

“Some of us want to fly back home, but can’t afford the air tickets,” said the student.

The students request the concerned authorities to make arrangement for their safety.

Superintendent of Police Dehradun city said that he will look into the matter, and “through your newspaper want to convey to the concerned students that if they feel any need, they can contact us directly on 9411112188”.
