Lethpora attack: One more paramilitary man dies, toll goes up 7, including 2 militants

SRINAGAR: With one of the three militants who had barged into the CRPF training centre at Lethpora still alive, reports said one CRPF man was killed in renewed gun-battle. With this, the number of CRPF who were killed in the encounter has reached five including the one who suffered a heart attack.

At the CRPF regimental centre at Humhama, there was already a wreath-laying event in which a local CRPF man was brought and later handed over to his family. Sharifuddion Gania lives in Nowgam village near Chadoora.

While media is waiting for the other slain security men to be brought to the Humhama centre, it is witnessing some delay.

The militants initially said to be two, barged into the Lethpora centre from the hillside and killed two CRPF men. Later two others were also killed in addition to the one who suffered cardiac arrest. Two militants were killed and reports said one more is in the building that was being hit by heavy weapons.
