Naik met the Lieutenant Governor at Lok Bhavan following his participation in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Jammu and Kashmir Foundation Day celebrations at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar on Saturday.

During the event, held in the presence of the Lieutenant Governor, Naik participated in a live interaction under the theme ‘Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani’, sharing his entrepreneurial journey and his contribution to strengthening cold-chain infrastructure and the horticulture economy of Jammu and Kashmir.

Naik, who is also Managing Director and CEO of Al Noor Group of Companies, used his subsequent meeting with Sinha to highlight the prolonged pendency of incentive claims by eligible industrial units.

He said 43 cases involving investments of around Rs 1,800 crore had remained pending for a considerable period, affecting the industrial ecosystem and investor confidence in the region.

He pointed out that investors had committed substantial resources in the expectation of receiving incentives promised under the applicable industrial policies.

According to a statement, the Lieutenant Governor assured Naik that he would intervene and that the matter would be taken up for an appropriate resolution.

Naik thanked Sinha for his assurance and reiterated the association’s commitment to strengthening the horticulture-based industrial sector, attracting investment and generating employment in Jammu and Kashmir.
