SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday chaired a high-level security review meeting in Srinagar with senior officials from the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, civil administration, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and key security agencies.
The meeting also reviewed logistics and safety arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra in view of recent inclement weather and heavy rainfall across the region.
Sinha directed all concerned departments and agencies to maintain seamless coordination and ensure the safety, well-being and convenience of pilgrims undertaking the annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave shrine.
The review focused on strengthening coordination among security and civil agencies and ensuring necessary arrangements remain in place for the smooth conduct of the yatra amid challenging weather conditions.
