SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Business Conclave 2024 organised by Shri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi on Saturday.

In his keynote address, the Lt Governor shared the achievements of JK UT after the abrogation of Article 370 and outlined the vision for its future.

“Today, JK is experiencing impressive growth, and significant transformation is underway in various sectors. We are committed to transforming key economic areas to achieve inclusive and rapid development, fulfilling the aspirations of the people,” stated the Lt Governor.

Interacting with the students of SRCC, the Lt Governor highlighted the challenges and achievements in diverse sectors under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. “Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as a hub for innovation, industries, tourism, education, sports, agriculture, health, entrepreneurship, and handicrafts,” he added.

The Lt Governor emphasised the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, creating an enabling environment for deprived sections, youth, women, and farmers to realise their potential.

“We have implemented measures to create a fear-free, corruption-free, and terrorism-free JK. People-centric governance, efficient public service delivery, accelerated project completion, welfare scheme saturation, and equal opportunity for all have empowered the common man and enhanced ease of living,” he further remarked.

The Lt Governor underlined that policy for him represents the dreams and aspirations of the people, emphasising the involvement of the common man in policy-making and development initiatives tailored to their needs.

“JK is making remarkable progress in digital and physical connectivity. Smart City projects have transformed urban areas, nurturing the aspirations of the youth,” he added.

The Lt Governor extended congratulations to the administration, faculty, and students of the prestigious institution.
