SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday called for protecting water resources and raising awareness about conservation.
“On World Water Day, Let us resolve to protect our precious water resources, raise awareness about the importance of water conservation and actively encourage community participation to promote traditional methods of water harvesting,” Sinha said in a post on ‘X’.
March 22 marks the annual celebration of World Water Day, a day dedicated to spreading awareness of the importance of freshwater.
The United Nations publishes its flagship report on water and sanitation every year on this day.
