SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday extended greetings to the people on the eve of Ram Navami.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor said the festival marks the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Shri Ram, whom he described as a symbol of virtue, righteousness and discipline. He said Shri Ram’s life reflects values such as compassion, humility, truth and dedication to duty, and urged people to follow these ideals and serve humanity selflessly. He also prayed for peace, happiness and prosperity for all.
The Chief Minister, in his message, also conveyed greetings and described Shri Ram as the embodiment of righteousness and ideal conduct. He said the teachings of Shri Ram continue to guide people towards the path of truth and selfless service.
He added that Ram Navami is not only a religious occasion but also an opportunity to reaffirm commitment to serving humanity with sincerity. Abdullah prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and extended his wishes to those celebrating the festival.
