Speaking to reporters at Lok Bawan, he noted that despite sustained measures taken since 2021 under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, drug abuse—particularly among young men and women—continues to remain a serious concern.

He said that while some progress has been achieved, it has not met expectations, and the growing level of addiction among youth is worrying and requires collective effort.

The Lieutenant Governor added that the administration is following a three-pronged approach aimed at disrupting supply chains, strengthening awareness at the grassroots level, and ensuring proper treatment and rehabilitation for those affected by addiction.
