SRINAGAR: In a surprising development Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has invited heads of all political parties in Jammu and Kashmir to Raj-Bhawan in Srinagar, sources said on Wednesday.

Quoting sources news agency KDC reported that in the backdrop of starting of the Amarnath Yatra, rising in targeting killings including on minorities, Manoj Sinha has invited heads of all political parties in Jammu and Kashmir on a ‘High tea’ at Raj-Bhawan here at 1800 hours today.

Raj-Bhawan is contacting all the heads of political parties in J-K who have been asked to attend the meeting in the evening.

A regional political leader while confirming the development said “Lt Governor on the one hand used to brand regional parties as obstacles in peace and development, we wonder what has led to the change of heart.”

If sources are to be believed the present deployment which is being used for securing the Amarnath Yatra, the same deployment would continue till elections are held in Jammu and Kashmir. Has the election buzz been sounded in J-K?
