SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday interacted with IAS officer trainees of the 2025 batch who are on a five-day visit to Jammu as part of the Winter Study Tour under the Bharat Darshan Programme.
The trainees are currently undergoing Phase-I training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor shared his views on governance and public service, and outlined the transformational changes witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir across various sectors.
The group of IAS officer trainees includes Muskan Srivastava (Haryana cadre); Meghna Chakravorty and Mudita Bansal (West Bengal cadre); Deepak Godara (AGMUT cadre); Saichaitanya Jadhav, Rahul Raghavan and Aman Tiwari (Tamil Nadu cadre); and Venkatesh Banna (Andhra Pradesh cadre). The delegation is led by Umesh Kumar Meena (Rajasthan cadre), with Vidhi (AGMUT cadre) serving as Associate Group Leader. Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rakesh Minhas, was also present.
As part of the programme, the trainees are scheduled to visit the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, the Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, the Bari Brahmana SIDCO Industrial Area, the India–Pakistan border, and undertake a city tour of Jammu.
Officials said the visit is aimed at providing the officer trainees with first-hand exposure to the administrative, developmental and cultural landscape of the region, contributing to their professional training and understanding of governance in diverse administrative settings.
