JAMMU: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha visited the families of Jammu and Kashmir Police martyrs SgCT Balvinder Singh Chib, SgCT Jaswant Singh, HC Jagbir Singh, and SgCT Tariq Ahmed in their native villages of Kana Chak, Londi, Mattu Khour, and Chamba Katra. He offered condolences to the bereaved families and paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while fighting terrorists in Kathua. Assuring all possible support, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to standing by the families of those who laid down their lives for the nation.
In a post on X, the Lt Governor honoured the fallen personnel, stating that their supreme sacrifice would never be forgotten. He expressed gratitude for their courage and vowed unwavering support for their families.
Earlier in the day, Sinha flagged off the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Pracheen Marg Pavitra Chhari Yatra. He offered prayers at the holy Kol Kandoli Temple in Nagrota, seeking blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being. He also attended the ‘Pratham Pooja’ of the Chhari Yatra and extended greetings to devotees on the occasion. The Yatra, carrying the Holy Jyot, will proceed to the Oli Mata Temple Bamyal via the traditional heritage route.
