The Lieutenant Governor praised the Tourism Federation of Jammu for its continued efforts to improve pilgrimage tourism and appreciated the coordinated work of various organisations in facilitating a secure, smooth and spiritually enriching Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

The newly released guide book contains detailed information for pilgrims, including registration procedures, safety protocols, medical facilities, accommodation arrangements, Yatra discipline guidelines and emergency contact numbers along both routes from Lakhanpur to the Holy Cave.

Officials said preparations for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2026 are underway, with arrangements being made in coordination with Jammu Smart City Limited. Regular Aarti ceremonies are scheduled to begin from June 29 (Jyeshtha Purnima), along with langar services at the current registration counter in Jammu.

Tourism Federation of Jammu Chairman Rajesh Gupta said that following the success of the Jammu Tawi Aarti initiative, regular Aarti programmes have been expanded to several other religious sites across the region, including Surinsar Nag Mandir, Baba Kailakh Dev Sthan, Purmandal, Ghagwal, Jatwal and Raghunath Mandir.

He further informed that a video documentary is being prepared to highlight upgraded facilities for pilgrims travelling from Lakhanpur to the Holy Cave, covering both Yatra routes. The film will be released ahead of the pilgrimage to familiarise devotees with arrangements and safety measures.

The guide book has been designed and printed for free distribution among pilgrims by ESPA FEE Private Limited.

The release ceremony was attended by senior officials and representatives from various tourism and religious organisations.
