SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inspected arrangements in Katra on Thursday ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting scheduled for June 6.
The LG reviewed preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. He directed officials to enforce strict security, safety measures, and ensure coordination among all departments.
The Prime Minister is set to dedicate the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project to the nation. This includes the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge, the tallest railway bridge in the world, and the country’s first cable-stayed Anji Rail Bridge.
The Lieutenant Governor called the dedication a historic leap for the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. He said J\&K is stronger and more prosperous than ever and has witnessed growth under the Prime Minister’s leadership.
Sinha added that the inauguration of the Chenab and Anji Rail Bridges, along with the flag-off of the Vande Bharat trains, will mark a historic moment for the nation and shape the future of JK and its citizens.
