“We must aggressively counter fundamentalist and extremist ideas and take action as per the law. Those supporting and financing terrorism will have to pay a heavy price,” the Lieutenant Governor said. He instructed police officials to strengthen intelligence gathering, enhance coordination, and maintain precision in counter-terror operations.

The meeting was attended by DGP JK Nalin Prabhat, ADGP Headquarters MK Sinha, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, and other senior police officials. The DGP provided an overview of the security scenario, focusing on counterinsurgency measures, protection of minorities, law and order, and terrorist recruitment.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasised the need for a comprehensive strategy to identify and neutralize foreign terrorists operating in Kashmir. He also directed authorities to enforce strict measures against those exploiting cyberspace for disinformation and propaganda.

“Strict action must be taken against elements using cyber platforms for disruptive activities. It is crucial to dismantle the terror ecosystem operating in the shadows,” he said. He further instructed officials to ensure the attachment of properties linked to terror and narco-terror cases.

The meeting concluded with a call for enhanced public engagement and confidence-building measures. The Lieutenant Governor urged law enforcement agencies to strengthen community ties and reinforce a sense of security among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
