Normalcy returned to Kashmir valley on Monday after a daylong shutdown call given by the separatist leadership against the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Life returns to normal in Kashmir

Shops, business establishments, government and private offices opened across the valley and both private and public transport plied normally. The Srinagar- Banihal train services have also been resumed today.

A large number of people were seen busy in purchasing different household items from the market.

The valley-wide shutdown call was given on Sunday by Joint resistance Leadership comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Kashmir visit.
