At least two hundred sheep were killed after lightning struck on the flock amid heavy rains at Wukhulwan area of Poshkar Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
Official sources said that three nomads namely Yaseen Bakerwal, Nazir Bakerwal and Ghulam Mohd Khan had taken their flock at the high altitude of Wukhulwan Poshkar in Kangan Tehsil, but as the heavy rains occurred followed by lightning; at least 200 sheep and goats got killed.
Meanwhile, there was no report of any human loss from the area.
