A soldier was killed as lightning struck him along Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu division on Monday.
Official sources said that Sepoy Mohammad Asif of 6 Jakli, attached with 40RR, died when the lightning hit Sabzian in Mandi area of Poonch.
A resident of Bhatadhurian in Mendhar, the soldier died on the spot, they added. A police officer confirmed the death and said that a case has been registered in this regard. (GNS)
