Police on Wednesday carried out raids on various Dhabas located on Srinagar-Jammu highway at Qazigund and recovered a huge quantity of contraband substances from the Dhaba owners.
The spokesman said that during the raid at Raja Vaishno Dhaba located at Nipora Mirbazar, 15 kilograms of fukki was recovered. One person identified as Sukhdev Kumar resident of Udhampur who was running the dhaba has been taken into custody. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered.
From Vaishno Dhaba Levdoora Qazigund, police recovered 10 bottles of liquor and 3 kilograms of fukki. One person identified as Suhail Ahmed Ganai resident of Nussu who was running the Dhaba has been arrested. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered. Meanwhile, investigations in both the cases are going on.
