Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, accompanied by senior officers of district administration, Sunday visited Government Medical College, Jammu to enquire about the well-being of those airlifted from Balakote (Poonch) after they sustained injuries due to alleged unprovoked firing by the Pakistan.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed the Principal to provide best medicare facilities to the victims. He interacted with the injured and wished them speedy recovery. He also announced an amount of Rs 5000/- each to the injured as interim relief, an official statement said this evening.

Later, he also visited Jagti to take stock of the status of land acquisition for the slaughter house. He was accompanied by Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sojunya Sharma and other officers. He directed the concerned to remove all the bottlenecks and speed up the process.
