SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated on Saturday that the local residents are making an immense contribution to the successful conduct of the Yatra, which will commence on  July 1, 2023.

In a series of tweets, the office of LG J&K stated that it will also enhance livelihood opportunities and bolster the local economy.

He mentioned that he attended the Pratham Puja via video conferencing to commemorate the ceremonial beginning of the Annual Amarnath Yatra. “For millions of devotees worldwide, pilgrimage to the Holy Cave of Baba Amarnath is a cherished lifelong dream.”

He affirmed that the government is committed to ensuring that the best possible arrangements are made for the comfort and well-being of pilgrims. “Dedicated efforts have been made in the past few years to bring about noticeable improvements in infrastructure and other facilities.”

He further added that the officials of Amarnath Shrine Board are working diligently to ensure that the needs and requirements of devotees are taken care of during the Yatra. “We are constantly striving for better facilities and services for pilgrims.”
